By aligning with the Christmas shopping calendar, the organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will proceed to the third phase of ticket sales on Thursday, November 30 (after packs on February 15, then individual sales on May 11). For all disciplines. Meet at 10 a.m. on the platform (ticket.paris2024.org). 7.2 million tickets (out of 10 million) have already been sold. The rule of 30 tickets per buyer remains in place. “This is the last opportunity that allows us to cover all the sessions. This may no longer be the case in 2024,” presents Michaël Aloïsio, Deputy Director General of Paris 2024.
400,000 new tickets on sale (370,000 in Ile-de-France), including 70,000 at 24 euros (nearly two thirds at less than 100 euros) in all sports and for all sessions. And even for the ceremonies (for the opening ceremony, a few hundred places will be put on sale for all categories at 90, 250, 500, 900, 1600 and 2700 euros; for the closing ceremony, places will be offered for 45 at 1600 euros). “We are arriving at a time when the Olympic ticket is becoming rare. When we refill it, it is sometimes in small quantities. And it goes quickly. All category D tickets for the opening ceremony were gone in less than an hour. All of Teddy Riner’s day’s posts in less than 2 hours. And today we have smaller volumes, because from one sport to another it is not the same gauge, not the same site, nor the same number of sessions,” summarizes Michaël Aloïsio.

Hospitality. Paris 2024 offers an original offer accessible on a platform, for businesses and the general public. “With On Location, these are not dry tickets, there is a hospitality, travel or catering service,” indicates Michaël Aloïsio. An innovative service with, for example, for sailing in Marseille the possibility of following the race while being on a boat (like in major races, a great first at the Olympics). Or for athletics, with a finish line offer, with activation in a backstage lounge.
In the spring, a final ticket sale should be organized for the Olympic Games. Before April, the re-sale phase on the platform. “The rarity of the event and the platform limit the risk a little but there are inevitably no-shows on major events. We are seeing extremely high expectations around the Paris Games. People really want to be there,” underlines Michaël Aloïsio.
In April, ticket recipients will have access to the application which will allow them to download their tickets. With the possibility of making transfers to the people of their choice. And the possibility of making changes until the Games. “It’s flexible, simple for the buyer and it secures the ticketing for the organizer,” assures Damien Rajot, director of Paris 2024 ticketing.
The first phase of ticket sales was launched on October 9. The organizers announce that sessions are “sold out” (wheelchair fencing, wheelchair rugby, para triathlon) but will only communicate the number of tickets sold (2.8 million tickets initially offered) at the end of the year. “Paralympic ticketing is a subject much closer to the event. In London (in 2012), 40% of tickets were sold between the start of the Olympic Games and the end of the Paralympic Games. These are sales that arrive quite late,” confides Michaël Aloïsio.
On November 30, buyers will have access to all available Paralympic Games sports and sessions. With for the first time a cross-selling Olympic Games, Paralympic Games. “This is an important moment,” underlines Michaël Aloïsio before detailing: “With prices starting at 15 euros, notably for the paratriathlon with Alexis Hanquinquant, para riding, para badmington and Lucas Mazur, titled at Tokyo which will be in the running on September 2. Or on September 3, Charles-Antoine Kouakou (reigning Paralympic champion in the 400m). On Tuesday 4, wheelchair fencing with Béatrice Vio who will put her title on the line. Para cycling will also be very important for France (2nd in the medal table of the last world championships). Like para judo with Sandrine Martinet… the blind football final from 25 euros…”
