In the first place was the announcement that the Danish OLYMPIC gold medal winner in 50 metres free had to live with it, but later showed a operation is possible. It opened, however, for a different kind of fear, she says in the programme ‘Sport Focus’ on TV2 Play.
– I was a little afraid of having to go in and have surgery the heart. I was afraid genoptræningen and to get started with to swim again.
– Would my body be the same again? It comes here to make that my career ends?, she asks in the program.
All understandable concerns, but now, four months after the operation, she is long since come back into the basin. The shape is sharp on the way up, while she mentally struggling to shake off the whole experience.
the Plan is to return on the level of competition the end of the month – without, however, to know which level she really is.
