A Swiss court has Swatch strengthened in a trademark dispute with the US technology giant Apple on the back. Specifically, the Slogan “Tick different”, the Swatch as a brand wanted to protect.
The Apple, however, saw as an attack on the advertising campaign, “Think different” that the US had launched the group and sat down against it.
The Swiss Federal administrative court explained that the brand of Apple is in Switzerland, not sufficiently known in order to a withdrawal of the US group. “Thus, the complaint is dismissed”, it said on Tuesday. (ij/sda)
