TV One of the most striking figures in ‘The Voice’ is the bearded Wim van Gennip (51). If he has the same impression as during its auditions, it looks fine for the tough emigrated Dutchman. “The coaches already after a few seconds omdraaiden, I had never dreamt of”, says Wim TV Family. “Nerves, I didn’t. On the podium you are previously an introvert type.
In real life I am not shy at all, but from the singing, I dare me, sometimes a little too little throw. That’s also the reason that I Bart Peeters as a coach chose. He is also a born entertainer, the man pre-eminently to get me out of my comfort zone. My choice for Bart was already in advance. Also, my wife thought he was the best coach for me.
How far do your ambitions at ‘The Voice’?
Now I get through the blind auditions, I would also known as far as it will get. Win? That would be the max. But even then, I would continue to sing on Match 13. Nothing plezanter than a few times a week together jamming with the friends. But you know what’s funny?
