Showbiz Ian Thomas discovered this week in ‘Control Pedro that there are some piquant stories about him doing the rounds on the internet. It comes to Fan Fiction, stories that are fans of him think and then share with each other. It is an old and well-known phenomenon, and it provided us with not only funny clips on tv, but also well known pop culture.
‘Fan Fiction are stories based on popular characters from pop culture, think ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Twilight’, the boys from the K-pop group BTS, and yes, even Ian Thomas. Fans write their own stories about those characters, and share them on the internet. That does not always happen in the same setting as the original, but the characters keep their original properties are retained. Writing sometimes fans just for the fun of it, but here and there there are some gems in between. These are five well-known fanfiction-working on a row….

1. ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’
Line one that you need to know about Fan Fiction: it’s very often about porn, like Ian, personally experience. The well-known jeugdboekenreeks ‘The Mortal Instruments’ was actually based on another very well-known jeugdboekenreeks. And that of J. K. Rowling. Fan Fiction author Cassandra Clare hit the nail so hard on the head that she made her own books if release.
The parables? The red-haired main character, Clary was based on Ginny Weasley, the love of Harry. Jace, the male lead, was an interpretation of Draco Malfoy.
Clare is because of the origin of her work was several times accused of plagiarism. They would also, for example, dialogues have been copied from the vampierenserie ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’.
