The English Football association (FA) has launched an investigation into the former england player Peter Beardsley.
Beardsley left in the last week of her job as the under 23 coach for Newcastle United. He is accused of having bullied a akademispiller, Yasin Ben El-Mhanni.
– We can confirm that the FA are investigating the accusations against Peter Beardsley during his time at Newcastle United. We do not have the opportunity to make additional comments, write FA in a message.
the 58-year-old Beardsley, who played most of his active career for Newcastle, has been suspended from the club since January last year.
He refused at the time all allegations of bullying.
Premier League club Newcastle launched last year an investigation of the allegations, but has not published the results.
the 23-year-old El-Mhanni, which has played two matches for the Newcastle first team, switched from the club last year for Scunthorpe United who play in the third best English variety.
Beardsley was in his years as a player with multiple all-star squad for England, but it was on the klubplan, that he made his great career with many spectacular goals in the best English variety.
In his 20 years long career reached Beardsley to play over 700 førsteholdskampe and score almost 250 times – the majority for the Liverpool and Newcastle.
