As the winner of this Year’s press photo, Bax Lindhardt, should be thanking for the award at the big photo-concert in The royal Library, he ran out of words. Not because he was touched or usually particularly taciturn, but because the image, which is taken to the latest Reality Award and shows realityvinderen spray the champagne out of her boyfriend and several others, it was photo, vinderfotografen had the least confidence.
– To my other pictures I have prepared a few words or an anecdote, but to this – he laughed and held a break – I have nothing to say.

But it had so many others, so that was missing, indeed, not the words, either for his or others ‘ images.
And even though Bax Lindhardt perhaps not quite with the same grasp, that his reality-the shots had been suddenly the art of photography, so he got miles of complimentary comments as the audience from the diamond’s Dronningesal got paved their way towards him.
It was the tenth year that the ’institution’ of the Year press photo held its awards ceremony in The black Diamond. And here are the photo exhibition until d. 17. august, then, as always, will be posted on the hiking.
the Tradition of premiere good photos began in 1974 in The Forum. Here was 300 submitted photos, which all came up to hang. At this year’s ceremony had the committee received 2545 photos plus 53 submitted web/tv spots, so it gives almost itself, that the selection has been rigorous and only the cream of the submitted photos, which could come to light.
It is the Berlingske tidende, which is sponsoring the award for ’the end of reportage, Abroad’, and here thought Berlingskes fotochef, the price eventually could just as well be called Jacob Ehrbahn-the price, as it was now the third time, he should have this award for its udlandsreportager. Ehrbahn is a photographer at Politiken.
From several sides – also from the jury – it said that level had been extremely high in the years of the web/tv-spots, so even if there around in the queen’s Hall sat photographers with outstanding price-dreams, were all agreed, that the jury had been hard at work.
But as Pernille Drost, deputy director at The Royal Library, said:
’The last elephants’ call Linda Kastrup and his series in the category ’the end of Culture. Billedserien got a top price and many roses.
– We are so accustomed to images of all places, we all take pictures with our cell phones. But then do we need professional photographers? Yes. We have, for they show us that SoMe-the pictures are confusing quantity with quality. There is more than ever a need for the professional photographers to go in depth and show us the reality. They have an important function in everyday life.
the Man behind ’the end of Sportsbillede’ called Claus Søndberg, and he was happy, he after 20 years with ishockeydækning had been given the opportunity to do this project, which now had also brought him the prize for the Year Sportsbillede.
Extra Magazine asked six kanonfotografer – past and current prize winners – to give a bid on what ordinary people should do to do is the decent photo with the mobile camera: Finn Frandsen, Heine Pedersen, Bax Lindhardt, Mathias Svold, Rasmus Flindt Pedersen and Liselotte Sabroe said the following:

Go close to and be present in what is happening. Catch the mood.

Take a picture – be self-critical – and then take a new one.

Concentrate, use time, and keep it simple.
