I have appreciated the band EP’s Trailer Park through the years, but the language has stood in the way. Singer Eric Palmqwist has as well as been someone who really wanted to be american, rather than a Swedish songwriter in their own right. But now, almost twenty years after the first album, debuting and he finally in his own name in English.

And so good it was. He is quite close to the Ulf Sturesons expression, and reminds sometimes of early Di Leva or Olle Ljungström, but above all he seems confident in himself. He has his own voice.

lyrics write just during the trip out of a long addiction, as an inner dialogue between a tough dude on the uppers, and the man who desperately wants to change one’s life. It is nice, strong, and not rarely right on. In addition – and there really is nothing to be sneezed at – at times really good pop music.

Best tracks: ”Sometimes you have to take a detour to find the home”
