New mardrömsstart for Sweden: ”Feels awful”
BEITOSTÖLEN. Sweden had problems with it in the women’s relay team – and missed even rougher in the men’s race.
Jens Burman was pissed after having received the day spoiled by a soft kick wax.
” It feels shit. Awful, ” he says.
The Swedish ladies had a blytung Sunday in Beitostölen, and finished sixth in the relay, almost the minute after Norway won by far.
This after a heavy takeoff for Evelina Settlin as with the dumb rides left over to Charlotte Kalla 37 seconds from the lead.
the shake-up for the Swedish men? Not really.
When Jens Burman went out as the first man in the men’s relay team repeated history from a Swedish point of view.
the 24-year-old slipped after out from the stadium. He charted in the skiing while the competitors stood in fartställning. At the switching, he had lost 1.18 and the day was ruined for the whole team.
Norway won ahead of Russia. It was eleven and afterwards are the two riders that had the classic ski – Burman and Halfvarsson – disappointed.

Norway finally won also the men’s relay team and ran in two minutes and 36 seconds ahead of Sweden who finished eleven.
”Vallateamet worked hard”
After the race I tried to vallaren Anders Niemi explain what it was that went wrong in Beitostölen.
