Nick Ayers, the current chief of staff to vice-president Mike Pence, were considered to be more or less clear that John Kelly’s successor when over the weekend it became clear that Donald Trump wanted to see a change on the record.

According to the AP had Trump and Ayers talking for months about taking over as the chief of staff, and even people within the administration should have been surprised by the news that he is no longer current.

is that they both have not agreed on the length of the agreement. Ayers has triplets at a young age and had long planned to stop working full-time at the end of the year.

During Sunday night confirmed Ayers himself on Twitter that he will not take over as the new chief of staff, but that he will continue to work for the president outside the administration.

The candidates now mentioned are, inter alia, Mick Mulvaney, director of management and budgetbyrån at the executive office of the president, Mark Meadows, congressman and chairman of the conservative group Freedom Caucus, handelsrepresentanten Robert Lighthizer and minister of finance Steven Mnuchin.

Neither the Mnuchin, Lighthizer or Mulvaney stated, however, be interested in the service.
