‘Clive Swift was a great karakterskuespiller. Both for drama and comedy. Different roles… From Shakespeare to Hitchcock and DoctorWho for the hårdtprøvede husband to Hyacinth Bucket’, writes Morris Bright.
Clive Swift was a wonderful character actor. As adept to drama as to comedy. Various roles … from Shakespeare, two of Hitchcock’s films, and #DoctorWho to the much harangued husband of Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet). A sad loss.https://t.co/cbT2ZwzQHV

In an interview with The Express, Swift previously told that he to start with was very skeptical in relation to play the role of Richard, until he met director Roy Clarke.
Patricia and I came really good out of it with each other. She is from Birkenhead, not so far from where I was born, he said in the interview.
Like me, she is very musical, and she loves to play the piano, and she was very loyal to me. The show is the only one where I have earned decent money, because it was an international success, and it has given me a good pension, which I would otherwise not have had, he said further about his role in the ‘Fine it must be’.
