During the opening ceremony of ”Under the fountain” was in full uproar. Far more than expected was on the spot to taste the soup, see a small invigningspjäs, listen to live music and to check out the new library. Inside the premises, it was packed and it had formed long queues outside the of expectant visitors.

There were 500 people on site and we had only expected about 100 people so we had to throw the program to bring in people in the rounds, ” says Sofia Cherif, press officer at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern.

Kulturhuset Stadsteatern renovated move their operations out of the city. Under the fountain at Sergels torg opens now, therefore, for a compressed Kulturhuset Stadsteatern on two floors. Minikulturhuset called ”Under the fountain” and offers an information desk, ticket office and sample the art and culture that can now be experienced in the culture house, under the auspices of other parts of the city.

One of the invigningstalarna, actor Philip Zandén, herded around the crowds with a megaphone, and got them to nicely stop up outside the room to listen to the culture and stadsmiljöborgarråd Jonas Naddebo (C) who had been given the honour to cut the red invigningsbandet.

“It’s a great day for me to inaugurate this allkonsthus in miniature, but the most important thing for me as kulturborgarråd is to ensure that more people have the opportunity to take part of more culture and I am therefore pleased to me something incredible to see that the Kulturhuset city theatre during the renovation will move out to the more than ten places around Stockholm and will be open more now, especially in the suburbs where the culture is perhaps needed the most,” says Jonas Naddebo (C).

I began a display of minikulturhusets all areas and rooms with taste led by the actors Helena Bergström and Philip Zandén. During the show, there was so much people that Helena Bergström got to stand by the stage to the mixing console, and cried:

– We are forced to dubbelköra the inauguration, we have started a bunch of a floor down and now you need to change your location.

Then she led the and Philip Zandén on to the box office where Helena Bergström was allowed to take over megafonen to guide the crowd down to the new library, where they closed the opening ceremony by reading poetry.

Philip Zandén they tell us that they look forward to the new meetings to get the experience and the new places they will be allowed to play with the move. They believe that the municipal theatre and the culture house will get a fresh start.

– Now when we move out, there will be new meetings and a new audience that we can hopefully take with us. In addition, I think that the ”Under the fountain” will act as a sort of speed dating for our various activities. Then, the culture house and the city theatre was merged, there has been a bit spiky to cooperate, but I felt since I came here the first time that all cultural expressions can meet here, it will benefit us when we come back, ” says Helena Bergström.

” It will get better and more natural cooperation when you are forced to crawl out of their offices. I look forward to putting up a performance in Moscow next autumn, the socialist 50-talsbyggda the premises and the square will put a mark on the theater, we will have to work harder now when we leave our habitual patterns, says Philip Zandén.

” One advantage to having the hub with the box office here is that it is so close to the metro, so that it is easy for everyone to get to the scenes. This place is not for us, it is for the people of stockholm, ” says Helena Bergström.

keep up the important work that’s former ceo, the late Benny Fredriksson, made for Kulturhuset stadsteatern’s activities.

– It is Benny Fredriksson who laid the foundation for the operations that are here today. Without Benny we had never been able to make these big changes, it is his loving ideological cultural policy that laid the foundation for this, ” says Philip Zandén.
