A 29-year-old man died of an overdose of drugs and medications on the floor in a narkoselæges apartment in Copenhagen.

Now, the doctor is accused of having left his friend in a helpless condition, and he required sentenced to prison and deprived of the right to work as a specialist in anesthesiology.

the Doctor went, according to the indictment, in bed without making sure that it heavily influenced the man got the necessary help. At 21.30 found the doctor the 29-year-old’s death on stuegulvet, and the police were summoned.

The accused doctor refuses guilty.

the Case has been three years in the making, among other things, because there has been carried out forensic investigations, and the Agency for Patient safety has been involved in the case.

the Doctor made for the Copenhagen city Court 17. January. There is set aside two days to the case.

According to the indictment had the doctor a sexual relationship with the 29-year-old, which he knew or certainly suspected abused substances. When the 29-year-old dead 28. december 2015, he had consumed marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, morphine, klonopin, and fentanyl.

He fell asleep on the floor in the living room, and the doctor was even in the bed in the bedroom.

According to the indictment would the doctor have ensured that his friend was using – including the doctor himself should have made close observation of the affected man and have monitored his pulse, blood pressure, respiration and consciousness.

He ought, according to the indictment, have provided urgent action to ensure the airway, breathing and circulation and have called in other medical aid.

the Doctor is accused for the penal code section 250, which provides up to eight years in prison for it, as putting another in helpless condition or leaving a person in helpless condition.

But the doctor is also accused after there are three statues in a longer period of time prior to the death to have provided his friend with different bevidsthedspåvirkende substances and for failing to ensure that his friend not even made the substances in the doctor’s apartment.

the Doctor knew, according to the indictment, the friend could be more vulnerable by drug taking than others.

The accused doctor prescribed also addictive drugs to himself in order to give the drugs passed to his mother – without that there was a plan with treatment and without involving the mother’s own doctor, reads the indictment.

Finally, the doctor is also accused of having been in possession of more joints and a small amount of cocaine, in part, to the friend use. Police found a partially smoked joint, medicinglas with klonopin and fentanyl and a ‘pølsemandspose’ with cocaine in the apartment.

As a last point, in the indictment, the doctor is accused of a shoplifting in Elkjøp, where he must have stolen two Orion speakers and two sets of Sony headphones to a value of 892 kr.

During the trial the police will among other things present the correspondence between the doctor and the 29-year-old friend. A forensic scientist must also be questioned on the cause of death.
