In accidents with passenger, cargo and military planes last year, 917 people to the life to come. Reports that the Netherlands-based Aviation Safety Network (ASN).
ASN recorded a total of 25 fatal aviation accidents in the commercial and military aviation. The heaviest crash was that of a Iljoesjin transport aircraft of the Algerian air force in april, in which 257 people were killed.
If you only take into account accidents with commercial aviation (passenger and cargo), such as ASN normally do, there is a fifteen fatal aircraft accidents and 556 deaths.
Those numbers stand in stark contrast with 2017. That year went in the books as “the safest put ever”, with ten fatalities in the commercial aviation and 79 fatalities (44 people from the relevant equipment and 35 people on the ground).
