More Sport Fanny Lecluyse has a bronze medal caught in the final of the 200m breaststroke in the women on the world cup kortebaanzwemmen in the Chinese Hangzhou.

Lecluyse swam an excellent final in which they are in 2:18.85 a lot more quickly than it was in the series (2:20.31) and in addition, not much above her Belgian record (2:18.49) remained. In the final, she had therefore only U.s. winner Annie Lazor (2:18.32) and his compatriot Bethany Galat (2:18.62). Our compatriot closed as her world CHAMPIONSHIPS in beauty, after two seventh places in the 50 and 100 metres breaststroke.

In a small bath captured Lecluyse in 2015 in the Israeli Netanya, already the European title in the 200m, school, and silver in the 50 metres. In 2011 in the Polish Szczecin and last year in the Danish capital Copenhagen came in the 200m breaststroke, each bronze from the bus. A world cup was her first medal. At the previous world CHAMPIONSHIPS in Windsor, she came no further than eighth place at the 50m school and a sixth place in the 200 metres.

Lecluyse wrote also a little piece of Belgian sporting history, because they gave our country only the second medal ever at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS kortebaanzwemmen, that since 1993, the biennial is organised. In the first edition in the Spanish Palma de Mallorca was the Stefaan Maene that for the first time made: on the 200-meter backstroke was he the right one for bronze.
