The 25-year-old the find Rosalía Vila Tobella makes me want to take a expresskurs in Spanish, clap your hands in the air and snapping your fingers as a simpleton. The Catalan singer with superrösten continues with their second album (sixth on the influential Pitchforks årsbästalista) to merge the traditional, orientalisktklingande the art of flamenco with r’n’b, pop and not so little hiphopattityd. The attitude, the videos to the singles ”Malamente” and “Pienso a tu mirá” brings to mind the kids in Andrea Arnold’s ”American honey”. A disc, narrated in the eleven ”chapters” that exudes an irresistible, dreamy heat.

the Teens in the ”Big mouth”. Photo: Netflix
(Netflix)
is really Needed yet another series that depicts the battlefield between the hormones and the willingness of teenagers, yet another embodiment of the pubertetens feberexistens, of the fear and uncertainty about sexuality, and ability? After having seen the second season of Nick Krolls and Andrew Goldberg animated Netflixserie it is only to realize that yes, it is necessary, still, so long as it is done so in this warm, smart and fun. The only question I want to ask me is why there is a third season already now.

Georges Bataille and his novel ”Heaven’s blue”. Photo: IBL
(Translation by Katarina Frostenson. Faethon, 173 pages).
In the basement to a Londonpub messes around a young girl called Ugly around, deadly drunk and spyende as a drainpipe in the monsoon. The scene shifts and the story gushes forward, about a destructive relationship between the narrator and his girlfriend, who goes from debauchery to debauchery. A generationsroman of a promising, young author? Nix: the surrealist, the economist, the initiator of poststrukturalismen with more Georges Batailles novel, written in 1935. Only for the deranged.

”X & Y” (Anna Odell)
TriArt film
Anna Odell was, for some years Sweden’s most publicized and controversial artist, after having staged a psychosis in his thesis work ”Unknown, woman 2009-349701”. In bioaktuella ”X & Y”, she examines its attributed to the identity of ”the crazy artist”. And it with black humor, spiced with references to both art and film. It is very fun. But the film’s cross-border identitetslekar and operation with both the gender clichés of the creative genius, of course, have a serious purpose. What I enjoy the most, however, is proffsskådespelarnas tonträffar – especially the Danish Trine Dyrholm is in his element.

Karl Ove Knausgård. Photo: Anders Hansson
Vagant
In a very long, very well written article in the Norwegian magazine Vagant ( and on the vagant.no) tells Henry Keyser Pedersen the story of the young Karl Ove Knausgård. When the author was only sixteen years old he got a job as musikrecensent in the local newspaper Sørlandet, something he writes about in ”My struggle” – but, as is evident in the article, quite different than the way it actually was. It is a wonderful thing, albeit in a strange way almost voyeuristiskt, to read the secret texts of the teenage Knausgård, and just as wonderful is the discovery that he was a full-fledged writer even then.
