Showbiz Amelie Albrecht, the twelfth edition of Humo’s Comedy Cup winners. Albrecht won the final in the Antwerp arenberg theatre for Sander Vanderveeren and Jasper Posson. She is the first female winner of the comedywedstrijd.

“I’m glad I Philippe Geubels’ve fucked,” joked Albrecht that the cheque for € 1,000 and the flowers from the hands of the nasal comedian. Amelie Albrecht, postman by profession, was after careful and wise consideration elected by the jury: Guy Mortier, Tim Van Aelst, Guga Baùl, Each Neuville and Seppe Toremans, supported by a professional jury.

Philippe Geubels also made for a guest performance during the finals. After five preliminary rounds in as many provinces, for which a small 100 stand-upcomedians is registered, and the semi-finals of the Minard in Ghent, were Sander Vanderveeren, Jasper Posson and Amelie Albrecht in the Antwerp Arenberg for the medals at their home race fight.

Albrecht is the successor of West-Flanders Jens Dendocker, since his victory in 2016, including an Emmy award won with the program ‘How will I say this?’. Previous winners include William Time, Bart Cannaerts, Gunter Lamoot and Luke Lily. The first edition of Humo’s Comedy took place in 1998.
