France striker Kingsley Coman was injured in training with Bayern Munich on Monday, but his case did not cause concern among those around him.

The player has undergone examinations: “A priori nothing serious, but it may delay his return a little,” the same source said about the international (55 caps, 8 goals).

Hit in the left knee according to the daily Bild, Coman, in the rehabilitation phase a month and a half after an injury to the right adductor, cried out in pain.

The Munich native had a season disrupted by injuries. He was injured in the ligament of one knee in February-March, then again in the adductors in April. Since the end of January he has only played two ends of matches in the Bundesliga and one in the Champions League. And he missed the Blues rally in March.

Most of the players of the France team are expected on May 29 at Clairefontaine to prepare for Euro-2024 (June 14-July 14), except the three finalists of the Champions League with Real Madrid (Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy and Aurélien Tchouameni) and the three from AC Milan, on tour in Australia (Mike Maignan, Théo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud).

In addition to Coman, two other players are currently injured, Maignan and Tchouameni.

“These are three completely different situations,” explained coach Didier Deschamps when he presented the list of 25 players for the Euro on Thursday.

“Mike has resumed specific training sessions, Aurélien is in a healing phase which belongs to the medical staff of Real Madrid, he will be with his club for the final at Wembley. Kingsley is also in the rehabilitation phase,” he added.

“If they are on the list, it is because I consider that all three of them will be available on June 17 against Austria,” insisted the technician.
