Argentina coach Marcelo Bielsa, for his second friendly match at the head of Uruguay on Tuesday against Cuba in Montevideo, will field an eleven totally different from that established against Nicaragua (4-1) last Wednesday.
The Argentinian technician’s intention is to test as many players as possible before the start of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico in September.
The former Marseille coach notably decided to establish six of the players crowned world champions under 20 on June 11 in Argentina (1-0 in the final against Italy).
“The most remarkable thing about this team has been their collective play, clear, efficient, with a 90-minute pressing. And in addition with all these individuals who are growing up … ”, rejoiced Bielsa on Wednesday at a press conference about the young world champions.
