French Estelle Mossely drew against Mexican Magali Rodriguez, who thus retains her WBC Silver super-lightweight belt, on Friday in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

After ten two-minute rounds, one of the judges gave Mossely the lead 96-93, but the other two opted for a 95-95 draw.

The Frenchwoman, who leads both professional and amateur careers, was knocked down in the seventh round but overall seemed to have the fight under control. His statistics are now 11 wins for a draw among professionals. Holder of the IBO lightweight belt, her natural category, Mossely decided at the beginning of the year to go up to super-lightweight (63kg) to give her career a boost.

In the event of victory, she hoped to become the official challenger for the reunified title (WBA-WBC-WBO-IBF) of the super-lightweight. In parallel with her journey with the pros, Mossely hopes to participate next year in the Paris Olympic Games to aim for a second title after that of Rio in 2016. For this, she will take part in the European Games in Krakow, Poland, from June 21 to 2 July.
