Ravensburg climate activists stuck stickers over eleven speed limit signs in Upper Swabia (Baden-Württemberg) on the B30 between Ravensburg and Baindt: Instead of Tempo 120, the signs read Tempo 100, the police said. A police spokeswoman said two signs were removed during the action on Thursday night. The police are investigating.
In a statement, climate activists referred to information from the Federal Environment Agency. According to this, such a speed limit would save 5.4 million tons of CO2 per year, traffic would also flow more smoothly and accidents would be less likely to die or have serious consequences.
