The aarhus museum rejects everything.

– We don’t know where it originates from. We just know that it does not have a team in itself, says Anne Bell, press officer from ARoS.

– So far as we can see, is there talk about fake profiles. It is not something that we do know something at least.

– What can the motivation be to do it here against you?

– I don’t know. It is fake news and has nothing with the way we operate the museum. In what way it has arisen, I must be you answer guilty.

Extra Magazine has reviewed several of the profiles who have shared the fake story about ARoS on Twitter.

It all started when the profile Jacob Petersen put this message up:

‘Kittens? Blenders? Appalled by the possible new exhibition at the Aros by the name of ‘Kitten’

Tweetet spawned acidic comments, and other fake profiles shared the story forward:

‘Crazy kitten in a blender-exhibition!!! Wild things. Andreas White, and Superflex cooperate at Aros aarhus kunstmuseum in Denmark. March 1, place a mark in the calendar ….’

Out of nothing drawn from the Danish artist Andreas White, who’s most known for taking photos of a sex-dyrkende few on the top of a pyramid, into the situation.

‘It is grineren enough’, he writes for Ekstra Bladet, when we catch him on an email message and continues.

‘Heard even on the yesterday (Wednesday, red), because one or another instagrammer was angry over it’.

At ARoS, have never experienced anything like this. From museumets side has to-day been trying to get a handle on the situation and by responding to the fake users tweets and rebut the story.

‘It is false news and has nothing to do with the way we operate the museum,’ they write.

In a tweet published on Thursday writes the fake profile Jacob Petersen:

’Confirmed anonymously from a member of staff at the Aros museum in Denmark. Only a few weeks from the first of march kitten + blender exhibition ’the kitten’.
