The Danish bryggerigigant Carlsberg can breathe a sigh of relief after a German court has convicted the company of price-fixing in Germany.
The state’s defense in a press release, according to Ritzau Finans.
– the Court has confirmed that Carlsberg did not participate in fixing the price. We are pleased that a long, drawn out legal process has now reached its conclusion, and that we have the final decision from the court in Düsseldorf, says the defender.
The prosecutor had demanded that Carlsberg had to pay 1.9 billion dollars in fines. A fine was four times higher than the German competition authority in the first place demanded.
