A new safety campaign of the Dutch spooninfrastructuurbeheerder ProRail (the equivalent of Infrabel) has met with considerable criticism. The action may be adjusted due to shocked reactions among staff and relatives of the victims of spoorongevallen.
The track to warn people, especially young people, under the name ‘Victim Fashion, created by accident’ for the hazards on the trail, by (counterfeit) damaged clothing to show that young people wore when they were victims of a train accident.

The competent secretary of state Stientje van Veldhoven (Infrastructure) called the campaign ‘unnecessarily hard’. “Everyone is before less unsafe behavior around the tracks. And communication is important. But the campaign as now been put in touch engineers and relatives of people who perished on the trail unnecessarily hard. I think it is important that ProRail does justice to these feelings.”
Marjan Rintel, director of operation at the Dutch Railways (NS), left earlier today to know the campaign inappropriate. The images remind engineers and conductors of traumatic experiences with spoorongelukken what they have experienced. Rintel says that NS the importance of the campaign understands, but does not agree with the form that ProRail has selected. “I’ve been to the executive board of ProRail our surprise, dismay and disgust expressed,” according to the NS-topvrouw.
Horrified reactions

Also people say that a surviving partner of a spoorongeluk are on Twitter to hear. They call the campaign of ProRail ‘disgusting’, ‘pathetic’ and ‘disrespectful’. Yet there is also acclaim. So twitters Society For Better public TRANSPORT (Public Transport): “quite a hard campaign of ProRail. But that fits the target audience. We hope that dangerous behaviour around the railway this decreases.”

Spokesman Andy wiemer on a regular basis by ProRail to let you know the shocked reactions ‘very annoying’ to be found. “That is not the intention and that we lament.” Wiemer on a regular basis says that there is a ‘high-impact’ campaign was needed to the hazards around the track with youth under the attention. “And the campaign saves among young people is also good. That’s what we see on Instagram.”
the Netherlands has been a marked increase in the number of people killed on and around the track. Where six fatalities were in 2016, increased to twelve in 2017 and even seventeen in 2018. Among the victims were also young people. In addition to the seventeen fatalities were there last year, 522 injury crashes and 4,000 almost-accidents.
