Last week, El Ejido’s municipal group of Cs pressed for a municipal outdoor pool.
Veronica Gomez, the councilor for the orange formation, claimed that these facilities were available “urgently in every nuclei” of the municipality.
They have already submitted a petition to the local government for 2021. “We requested last year that the project be included into the design of Canada de Ugijar Periurban Park. However, this was not possible and we reiterate our need to study the Location.”
They stated from the orange formation that not all residents have the time or means to travel to the beach during summer heat. The cost of such facilities could be covered by money collected through the collection of an entry and the creation of a restoration service that acts as a social gathering between neighbors.
Veronica Gomez, too, stressed that the idea of public pools is sustainable. However, it was important to remember that we already have the means for cleaning and maintaining them.
