From today to September 15, 18 lifeguards will be on hand to ensure safety for bathers at Cuevas del Almnzora’s beaches. Yesterday, Miriam Quintana was joined by Maria Isabel Ponce, Councilor for Culture, and Juan Velasco, the mayor of Villaricos. They welcomed 18 lifeguards to the Cuevas del Almnzora urban beaches.
Quintana reminded them about the importance of their work along the coast and wished them a happy summer. We are here to help you, but you also have a coordinator you can turn to when you are in need. It will be a great summer season, we are certain. We wish you a happy season from the City Council. Your life could depend on your ability to do a great job. Let’s all hope that there aren’t any notable incidents this summer and that things go as planned.
They will soon have new lifeguard modules in the coming days to help improve their service and working conditions. The Consistory has also completed many tasks to make the coastline ready. These include painting, cleaning and repairing modules, signage and other elements.
Remember that there is also a collection of photographic furniture along the coast. This will ensure that the stunning beaches and views of Cuevas are part of the best summer, for the thousands of visitors. They will also be used as the backdrop to photos that will become part the neighbors’ personal albums.
