about ten years ago, received the national Board of health commissioned by the government to draw up a report on the living conditions of persons with disabilities, that had contributions under the social services act or the act on assistance to certain disabled persons (LSS).
It resulted in the report ”Still unequal” (2010). The title speaks its clear language.
According to the health Board, it would be in the first hand to the politicians at the national, regional and local level through the decisions to be able to create better conditions for equal living conditions and greater participation in community life for persons with disabilities.
as the economy, work, housing, education and leisure.
This report would have been a good tool for further policy work to create better conditions for everyone in society. But if you would highlight the situation in the day for people with disabilities, there would be a report entitled ”Continued humiliation”.
My interpretation is that the report was a desktop product. All the focus and energy has been spent to ensure the LSS. This has not helped. We have seen the law’s decay and deterioration over a period of ten years. The development from a handikappolitiskt perspective, has come to a standstill.
that the law has been eroded and there has not been any parallel reform efforts to ensure persons with disabilities the conditions to participate in society.
What is the political work contributed to? Hidden savings have been made manifest to those who most need the support of society.
