A civil war has prevailed in Syria for several years. Here, the Russian government has supported the current regime of president Bashar al-Assad in the lead.
Since al-Assad has been the top of the wrist, Turkey and Russia reached an agreement on a zone in the province of Idlib, where the regime will keep themselves from the attacking rebels.
– Unfortunately, there are many problems there. And we can see, says Putin standing by Erdogan’s side at a press conference Wednesday.
Putin says further that Turkey is doing a lot to keep order on the situation, but that both countries are committed to do more to bring an end to “terrorist acts”.
Both Erdogan and Putin declares that it is important that there is no vacuum to the “terrorists”, when the UNITED states, as president Trump has announced to withdraw from the country.
the Definition of terrorists have so far been different from the various parties involved in the civil war.
Putin stated further at the press conference that he will soon host a summit between Russia, Turkey and Iran on the future of Syria.
