One of those who cheered loudly when the news was announced was the writer and artist Jessica Jewett (37). She is born with the disease leddsykdommen Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, and is wheelchair user.

– Excuse me while I cry for 300 years, because this was the toy I needed that little girl. I’ll definitely buy one. I don’t care that I’m 37 years old, she writes in a post on Twitter.

In the course of growing up in the 80’s, she has no recollection of that she found some docks or toy which she felt represented in the same way as her friends.

It took me back to when I was 6 years old, and asked mom and grandma why there were no docks that looked like me. I had a feeling that I was different, but understood never why this was something that should be hidden, ” she says in an interview with the Huffington Post.

Accessibility for people with disabilities is a recurrent problem in many places.
