Juan Luis Perez, Huesca, and Bibiana Lopez, from Bastetan were the winners of the ninth edition nighttime BTT Bike Race.

The route covered 38 km. The Huescar cyclist completed the test in 1 hour 26:05 with a cumulative drop totalling 750m and an average speed of 26.5km/h. The women’s category saw the bastetan finish the race in 2:04;39, nearly 10 minutes faster than the second.

It was expected that there would be a huge duel between Juan Luis Perez, Huesca’s great player this season, as well as Antonio Raul Gutierrez (a dominator of the event in recent decades), and it was. Gutierrez was placed in second place, just 3 minutes and 39 seconds ahead of Perez, who was almost intractable from the beginning.

La Bike

Juan Francisco Torregrosa is the mayor of Benamaurel and he has been very satisfied with the race’s outcome. There have been no incidents, everyone was able to enjoy the spectacular race at night and the wonderful atmosphere between volunteers and runners at the finish is amazing. It is a unique test because it is conducted at night. This gives it an extra value that other races do not offer. All the winners are to be congratulated. I also want to thank the Benabike BTT Club, which worked hard with the Department of Sports and Culture of Benamaurel Town Hall. The mayor is the final word.
