Aalst Only carnavalsgroepen sing even in the Aalsters dialect? Forget about it. In Meldert rehearses there is a black metal band songs with Oilsjterse texts. Inspiration they find in the dark past of Aalst, in the legend of the bully ‘kledde me sheet’, the Castle of Doom, and, more recently, the hotelmoord to the station.
“We sing in the Aalsters, but we are not nightlife is just behind hey,” says the foursome. There is no doubt. On may 25 in Negasonic in Aalst the release party of the latest cd of Kludde: ‘In the Kwelm’. Schramoeille, Poesjkapelle, Bloedkoesj, Castle of Doom, the titles of the songs refer to Aalst and the more dark side of the Aalsters past. Kludde has delved into the from aalst history and is fascinated by the bloody events that ever have occurred.
