The Government Team of Las Gabias, the Consistory, UGT and CCOO major unions, have unanimously approved a revised List of Jobs (RPT), which will improve the working conditions and employment of all municipal workers.
The new RPT is the culmination of over five years of work done by the current Government Team. It represents “a very important step forward in better management and professionalization for our workers, which has been achieved with all the unions,” stated Vanessa Polo, mayor of Las Gabias.
This is the City Council’s first comprehensive RPT. It includes new locations, a new structure, and an extensive assessment of all jobs. The approved document clarifies all municipal jobs, and updates the remuneration according to all functions. It also contemplates the officialization labor workers.
The next step after the approval of the general negotiating tables will be the approval from the municipal plenary sessions. Maria Jesus Munoz (Councilor for Employment) stated that the new RPT was “one of the greatest achievements of this legislature, in terms of employment” and would determine the future direction of our City Council. This will significantly improve management.
