The well-known Nova-radio host Benedicte Balling was only 43 years old.
In 2017, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and despite a longer course of treatment she was quiet into Monday evening.
A tragic piece of news which took hard on the former radio host and current tv host Lisbeth Østergaard.
Though the two women had not private friends, filled the still very much in each other’s work for many years.
And it is also a clearly affected Lisbeth Østergaard, Extra Magazine speaks with in the wake of the tragic news.
the hell man. I got a big shock when I read about Benedicte. I stood inside in a showroom, and I could almost not take me along to go out of there. I started to cry, she says.

Lisbeth Østergaard was not aware how serious it was with Benedictes disease.
I actually thought that she had it better. Her loved ones have of course been aware of message, but I believe that we were many, who believed, that she would clear it. Therefore, it was as I said, also a big shock, and the first thing I had to do was also just to take the phone and call a friend. I was simply just going to have to talk to someone.
Back in 2008 was Lisbeth Østergaard host on the programme ‘Hot ice’, where Benedicte Balling was a participant. In addition, they have two in the many years I worked as a radio announcer on the same radio stations.
– We have never been very close, but she was a good colleague, and we have made much the same kind of work and the work on the same radio stations, we have for many years been good colleagues. In many ways I think that we could mirror ourselves in each other.
– I remember her really as a fighter, it is my very clear picture of her, saith the Lisbeth Østergaard.

While the Extra Magazine speaks with Lisbeth Østergaard, she has also struggled to hold back the tears.
– I am just thinking that she has children. I know it is so terrible. I myself have a son of four years. It hits really. Yes, it is perhaps also, therefore, that the tears are rolling down my cheeks at me now.
– Even if you are private friends with someone, you can easily seem really really good about each other. Could really like a different human being. This is how I have it with Benedicte, she concludes with a cracked voice.
Benedicte Balling started his career in the ‘Go’ morgen Danmark’ in 1996 and has been a reporter at the ‘dancing with the stars’. Then there was also tender after her as a participant, and she has appeared in the programs ‘Zulu Djævleræs’ and ‘Hot ice cream’.
In 2010, she switched tracks and became morgenvært on The Voice and since the host on Nova.
She leaves the man Philip Krag-Juel-Vind-. and the couple’s four-year-old daughter, Josephine.
