Labour and the conservatives will work closer together to find a brexitaftale.

The british labourleder, Jeremy Corbyn, said that he had a two-hour-long brexitmøde with the conservative prime minister, Theresa May, which went ‘really well’.

He says to the newspaper the Daily Mirror, that he is waiting for a new meeting soon.

A spokesman for Downing Street said that the meeting was ‘constructive’ and that both sides showed flexibility and willingness to get completed brexitkrisen.

Teams from Labour and the conservatives must now explore the possibilities to reach further, states with the addition:

– We have reached agreement on a programme to ensure that we deliver to the british people and protects jobs and creates a feeling of safety.

At the meeting, which took place in the prime minister’s office in parliament, was brexitminister Steve Barclay, and a number of high-level advisors from Downing Street by the prime minister’s side.

Corbyn was accompanied by Labour’s brexitordfører, Keir Starmer, as well as three skyggeministre.

May and Corbyn in the course of the protracted brexitforhandlinger not shown much willingness to listen to each other, and the outcome is surprising.

Shortly after the meeting between May and Corbyn voted down in the british parliament a proposal to keep the new indicative vote on the brexit Monday of next week.

the Vote ended up a tie with 310 votes for and 310 voting against.

the president of parliament, who had a casting vote, voted against.

But on a second vote there was a majority for a proposal to work for, to a “no deal” brexit must be prevented by law. This proposal had the support of 312 members.

Both May and Corbyn had on Wednesday also held meetings with, among others, the head of Scotland’s Nationalparti, the first minister, Nicola Sturgeon.

Senior members of the scottish party say that a brexit in the absence of agreement may be excluded. The scottish party’s leadership at the same time says, that there shall be held a referendum on brexit.
