Baza’s ONCE Agency celebrates “Colors are Values Week” with a variety of activities that aim to highlight the ONCE Agency’s daily work. The headquarters of the organization hosted an awareness day about braille reading and writing for all ages, aimed at schools and associations as well as public authorities.
Manolo Gavilan (mayor of Baza) and Gemma Perez (councilor of Social Welfare and Urban Planning), were present to learn about the system that allows people with visual impairments to read and write. They also worked hand in hand with Estela Sanchez Zafra, director of the ONCE Agency of Baza.
Baza will host ONCE Week activities that include information on low vision and a march for disability. As a final touch, there will be a Sports Day, in which Almeria, Jaen, and Granada affiliates will participate. The public can enjoy the display of various sports modalities.
The Mayor of Bastetano stated that this week “serves to carry out an essential work of awareness, to strengthen collaboration and to work together in an accessible city.”
