A woman was dragged under a car a long distance in Berlin-Neukölln and fatally injured. The 35-year-old driver drove on Marienfelder Chaussee in the Buckow district on Thursday evening, the police said on Friday.
Shortly before the intersection, he turned his car around and drove on, but then noticed resistance under the car, according to the police. The man pulled over and found the seriously injured 56-year-old woman under the car.
According to a report by “B.Z.”, the alarmed fire department had to lift the car to free the woman. She died at the scene of the accident. The police did not rule out that it was a suicide. According to the newspaper, there was a woman in the car next to the accident driver.
The circumstances of the incident, especially how the woman got under the car, are to be determined. Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
