The criticism of Seehofer’s immigration law is not broken: As a disproportionate and endless to 22 organizations say the proposed law in an open letter. A SPD politician is even more pronounced.
An Alliance of 22 civil society organizations wants to prevent the planned tightening in immigration law. In an open letter they call on the deputies of the Bundestag, to adopt the Minister of the interior, Horst Seehofer, the so-called “Orderly-return-law”.
The law would mean many of the refugees are “permanently from the participation of bounds in social life, expose them to disproportionate sanctions and a boundless expansion of the grounds for Detention”, – stated in the open letter, which is available to the news Agency dpa.
Amnesty International, diakonia, Pro ASYL: 22 organisations have signed the open letter.

the draft law, to which it will give on Monday a public hearing in the Bundestag’s interior Committee, wants to enforce Seehofer, the obligation to leave of rejected asylum seekers consistent. Among other things, aliens whose deportation is imminent should be in regular detention centres. Those who are pushing for his deportation due to incorrect data, to be tolerated only as a “Person with unknown identity”.
Different organizations such as Diakonie, Amnesty International, Pro ASYL and the German children’s charity to reject this explicitly. “Should this law into force, the lives of tens of thousands in Germany, constantly in fear of detention and deportation in a state of hopelessness,” – said in the Letter. In addition, the signatories also legal concerns: immigration detention is not criminal detention, and should therefore be carried out only in separate facilities.
