South Jutland Police have on Friday evening charged with 221 persons for violation of the forsamlingsforbuddet.
The many people gathered for an illegal street racing, a so-called street race, in an industrial zone in Holsted.
the Police estimate that there were between 100 and 150 cars gathered for the illegal scheme.
It informs vagtchef Henrik Sønderskov night to Saturday.
Earlier in the day – around the clock 13.30 – was the many car enthusiasts gathered in Varde.
– We send a patrol up there, and handed out some fines, and then they disappear people away, says Henrik Sønderskov.
But the street racing-the fans were not finished.
– Then, apparently, they planned to meet out at the slaughterhouse in Holsted instead. It will catch one of our officers, so we are sending a strong strength to go out there and get it all closed of, say vagtchefen.
the Danish Crown slaughterhouse in Holsted is located on the Route, and since there are only two roads to and from the area, it was easy for the police to block the end for many drivers.
– We will set up a sluice, which the people had to run through to get away. So there was no way around it, unless you took the walk out across the fields, says Henrik Sønderskov.
He could not deny that there were a few pieces that got away, but nevertheless, it was to a total of 221 charges.
