Ubisoft has finally revealed some information about the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake during an event on June 10, 2024. The game was originally announced in September 2020 and then delayed to an unspecified date in February 2021. Now, after much anticipation, Ubisoft has given us a release window – we will have to wait until 2026 to get our hands on the game.
The reason for the delay, for those who are interested, is that the developers wanted to fine-tune the game to make it as enjoyable as possible, after receiving feedback from gamers following the release of the trailer last September.
For those unfamiliar with the game, it immerses us in an epic adventure where our Persian prince must save the kingdom and its people from the Sands of Time, which destroys everything in its path. The story revolves around a sandglass that has been broken, unleashing chaos, and a Vizier who will stop at nothing to obtain a dagger that can manipulate time.
