In the north of Zealand is a fiskeørneunge just come into the world, and with the Danish Nature agency in northern Zealand has one with a well-placed camera got it all.

– It is a fantastic experience, and we are very happy with it. It is incredibly exciting to follow. It is indeed a very rare bird in Denmark, said Ole Andersen, who is a forester at the Danish Nature agency north Zealand

According to him, fiskeørneparret of the Competition it is perhaps the only couple on the island of Zealand, and throughout the country there are probably only in the neighborhood of six pairs.

Fiskeørnereden is placed on top of a 30 meter high norway spruce in Vandmosen of the Competition, where fiskeørneparret also struck down last year.

Also here there were three eggs in redden, all of klækkede – but this year Nature had to wait longer at the first young – and the process has not been without tension.

– The big drama has been natuglen, who has attacked the fish eagle several times on the night, while it has been incubated, says Ole Andersen and continues:

– There have been a screech-owl with a nest right close to with the big ones, who cries out for food, then it the panic of going out to find something to live on, says the forester.

Fiskeørneparret is now a well known couple in the Competition, as the pair returned to the nest since 2011.

The nyudlækkede young people can be followed quite closely on the through the live-signal on the nature agency’s website. Interested is also welcome to ride over with a pair of binoculars and watch the nest at a few hundred meters distance.

If you are up to it, you can also bring along a camera, where you with a good picture afterwards can be a very helpful addition for the Danish Nature agency.

– It could be really exciting to get a greater knowledge about where the fish eagle fishing along. We know the fishing very in the Esrum Lake and in the lake Arresø. Last year came the also in with the sea fish in the form of the flounder, and garfish.

– But if you have a picture of the fish eagle with a fish in its claws on the way to the Competition area, so one must much like to send it to us. So we must try to see whether it is the fish coming into the nest, so we can get a clarification as to where the fish eagle fishing along, says Ole Andersen.
