The City Council of Roquetas De Mar has been granted a grant to support the modernization and transformation of local administrations, as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resistance Plan of Spain.
These aids amount to 366,146 Euros and are intended to help launch the Digimar Project. It includes a series actions that will continue the digital transformation process of the Local Administration, in which the City Council has been involved for many years.
It is hoped that Digimar will help to establish a sustainable CPD (Data Processing Center Infrastructure) by providing storage, processing infrastructure, and backup copies.
This project is part 4 of Technological Infrastructures’ strategic line 4. It is divided into three phases. The acquisition of hardware, software, and the contracting of services to install, configure, and commission the same. A final phase involves the training and transfer knowledge to City Council’s IT Department personnel in the management and operation of the implemented systems.
Rocio Sanchez (Councilor for the Presidency) expressed satisfaction at the grant of the subsidy which will enable the City Council to have the necessary technological infrastructure to modernize its Data Processing Center. She also defended the need for updating the services, support for servers, and storage systems that can support the various areas.
“This aid will enable us to modernize our existing infrastructure. This will, without doubt, contribute to an improved daily management of the City Council as well as its efficiency. It will also guarantee its proper functioning. A modernization that will, ultimately, result in better service for all citizens. The councilor roquetera has provided details in this regard.
