Queen Elizabeth’s 97-year-old husband, prince Philip, has said that he deeply regrets and is ‘very sorry’ to the injuries that a woman sustained in a car accident, as he was involved in for a little more than a week ago. It writes the Sunday Mirror.
Søndagsavisen has published a copy of a letter the prince has sent to Emma Fairweather, who broke his wrist, when her car, a Kia, collided with the prince’s Land Rover.
– I would like you to know how sorry I am over my role in the accident … I can only imagine that it was at that I not saw the car coming, and I’m unhappy about the consequences, he writes in the letter, which is signed Philip.
the Prince escaped unscathed from the accident, but he was shaken after the incident.

The other driver, a 28-year-old woman received lacerations on the knee, while the 45-year-old Fairweather, who was a passenger, broke a wrist. A nine months old baby, who was in the car with the two women, was not hurt.
Fairweather complained last week to the Sunday Mirror that she had not received an apology from the prince, who sat behind the wheel of his Land Rover in the accident close to the royal family’s private residence of Sandringham in Norfolk.

Philip was back behind the wheel just two days after he was involved in a crash. Photos that have been brought in several british media, has shown that he was back behind the wheel without having to use a seat belt.
