In trafiksselskabet Movia is the people who have in October 2018 made the decision that thousands of zealand bus stops no longer need to be equipped with road maps, virtually as informative as they are now blank slates.
the Extra Leaf has in recent days put the focus on the removal of informationstavlerne at 14.500 bus stops, so it is – at best – becomes cumbersome to figure out where and when you need with the bus, in the worst cases, impossible, if no one has mapped his journey from home.
the Movia case brief:
the Decision to remove informationstavlerne from 14,500 zealand bus stops were taken in the Movia board of directors in October 2019.
3. december 2018 issued Movia a press release, in which they told of the change.
concretely the change, that it will no longer be possible to see the bus routes and timetables at the stops. Instead, you have to have his phone up pocket and check it digitally.
data from Statistics Denmark shows that 210,000 as older people are not digital and so can’t beat the bus timetables up on the web. A study last year, made of Passagerpulsen under the Consumer Think, also showed that older passengers prefer to get information about departure times and delays on site.
the Movia informs that ’the smaller group of passengers who are not comfortable with the digital’ can call Movia and order a timetable by mail or they can print them out from the net (in parenthesis, the noticed may be said to be digital, red.) just as they can send an sms (again – digital, red.) and get the relevant slot.
Armed with a stack of busplaner, was the Extra Magazine issued on Tuesday on the street in Copenhagen and Hillerød, denmark for providing bus passengers the service, Movia has chosen to drop.
And here there was clear outrage to trace among the passengers, which – in contrast to the majority of those responsible in the Movia board of directors – not in the least reluctant to give their opinion on the ‘dung-annoying’ decision.
The lack of information boards with busplaner was called the ‘really shit’, ‘definitely a degradation of service’ and ‘completely crazy’.
Several concluded on top of that, ’those who are in charge of Movia, not even running in the bus.
If this is the case, we can unfortunately not answer.
For only a single one of the nine members of the board, who is in charge of the change, will comment on the case and the many clients ‘ negative reactions.
The other put Extra Magazine in contact with the grounds, that soon there is board meeting where the matter will be discussed. The meetings take according to Ekstra information place on Wednesday 27. February at 10.00 to 13.00, in the Movia headquarters in Valby.
Should the nine members of the board choose to take the bus out there, Extra Magazine bringing the service information, that both the line 132, 133 and 8A goes almost right to the door. How long their journey will take, they may however seek information about on the web.
It says in the Movia board of directors:
Niels Bjerrum, from the Social democrats is the only one from the Movia board of directors, which takes the leaf from the mouth. He believes that one must acknowledge when you make mistakes – and they clearly have done in the Movia in this case. Press Photo/Bente-Maj Wøldike.
– I think the one in the collective leadership has the attitude that when you have made a decision, then you have to stand by it and agree. But I think we will have to listen to the criticism. We are not critics by saying nothing, says Niels E. Bjerrum, representing the largest municipality in the Movia with the sovereign the most bus passengers, and adds, that he very often even running in the bus.
– you Will fight for that decision to be made about?
– Yes, what is it, we are in the process of now. We need to find out what can be done. It is not certain that we can roll everything back as it was before. But we must do something, that responds to the concern.
– however, I have to say, that we are not arrogant have taken the decision to look at the fact that there are some that are not digital. It is not true. We have done a hell of a lot. It’s probably just not communicated properly.
He points out that it is possible to send a sms and get busafgangstid or call Movia and receive timetables by post.
– do you Think that the customer reaction is the expression that they are spoiled?
– No, I do not think that one must mention people. I am genuinely surprised that no one has been able to see that the alternatives we have set up, is a help on the way – and when the rest of our world is so digital, as it is, that it here has caused so big problems.
