What lasts long, is not good. At least not from the point of view of all the admirers of Helmut Dietl. The Munich-based Director will not be honored until Further notice, with it’s own Statue. Which should be no later than this spring, finished, had Werner Lederer-Piloty (SPD), the Chairman of the district Committee of Schwabing-Freimann announced in the summer. Now the subject has been completed with reference to a city Council decision of April 2018. The reasons for the initiators is not traceable. “You are threadbare,” says Lederer-Piloty. The financing of the Statue had been secured by various donors to an account of the city, says Lederer-Piloty.
