42,057 corona cases were reported to the RKI yesterday.
Since July 20, the number of cases on every single working day has been below the previous week’s level.
Now the series is breaking: today the number of cases is almost seven percent higher than a week ago.
The 7-day incidence increases from 217 to 223.
The incidence in 12 of the 16 federal states, the exceptions are NRW, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Rhineland-Palatinate and Bremen.
In a week-on-week comparison, five federal states are already up: in addition to Rhineland-Palatinate and Thuringia, Lower Saxony, Hamburg and Hesse are now also included.
