“To clarify their relationship with Juan Antonio Yeguas (the socialist councilor who stopped the mayor from being expelled to the PP after 30+ years of municipal government service), the PSOE of Granada asked Churriana de la Vega’s mayor, Antonio Narvaez.
Alex Casares (secretary of the Socialist Organisation) has asked the PP president in Granada Sebastian Perez to clarify “whether the action taken by the councilor who refused to vote in favour of the PSOE candidate will entail in rewards the delegation of functions in the new corporation and a salary paid by the City Council to the mayor.
“Are we going to receive an area delegation as well as the appropriate remuneration for the services rendered?” The socialist representative assured him that if yes, he would face a case of political turncoats and the greatest scandal in the municipal political history, along with the presumed necessity of cooperation from the PP>>.
“The shameful marketing and dealings of Sebastian Perez, the right-wingers at the Mayor’s Office of Granada, have already made it obvious that they regard the word of the people as meaningless.” He stated that he hoped Churriana would not be facing a rigging investigation of the PP.
Casares warned Casares that the councilor had “refused to deliver his minutes” and requested his incorporation into “the group of nonattached”. He stated that the Socialists are continuing an open investigation “to clarify the fact and keep power at all cost.”
He stated, “We want the citizens in Churriana know if their municipal representatives will do anything, even corrupt the most fundamental pillars of democracy, to keep a seat.”
