A poll for Swedish daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet on Friday show that under a fifth of swedes believe that the so-called skandiamand, Stig Engström, murdered prime minister Olof Palme for 34 years.

It was otherwise Engström, as the prosecution and the police on Wednesday appointed as the murderer.

19 percent say in the measurement carried out by Kantar Sifo yes to, that they believe that it was They who killed Palme late on the evening of 28. February 1986 on a street in Stockholm.

Just as many – 19 percent – answered no to the same question.

62 percent respond that they either are doubting or don’t know.

the chief Prosecutor Krister Petterson has most recently led the investigation of the dramatic shooting down of the Palm tree. It was him, as of Wednesday, without any evidence or dna traces presented the conclusion that Engström is the killer.

They found themselves around the scene of the crime on the mordaftenen.

But it has been known ever since the final start in the 1980s. He was known at the time as Skandiamanden, because at that time, he was employed in the insurance company Skandia, close to the scene of the crime.

Engström died in 2000.
