Residents of the three Las Vegas del Genil neighborhoods will have the opportunity to see the summer cinema, which was launched by the Department of Culture and Youth of the Vegas del Genil City Council in collaboration with the Granada Provincial Council.

Elena Mamely, Councilor for Culture and Youth of Vegas del Genil explains that the projections will be in three areas of the town.

The first screening of “Valentina” will be held tomorrow at the Las Peregrinas complex in Belicena at 10 p.m.

Vegas del Genil will host the summer cinema on July 20th in Purchil, with the film Raya. On August 10, Ambroz will screen the film A todo tren at the El Molino Soccer Field.

The mayor reminds us that the Summer Cinema is part the Consistory’s summer program that has been in development since July. This will continue into August. There are many activities available for all budgets, including leisure, sport and excursions at very reasonable prices.

Among the many programming, the activities for children at ‘Ocio Al Freskito’ stand out in various town squares. There are hiking trails through the Vega that can be used for pets and an outdoor picnic with music.

Mamely explains that the City Council is aiming to “ensure all residents have access to these activities, without having to worry about money or driving a car.”

After more than two years of not being able to enjoy many cultural activities because of the pandemic, the mayor reflects on “the immense acceptance” of the planned activities for this summer.

Councilor for Culture of the Vegueno Consistory explains that the City Council’s summer program is “designed for all ages, taking in account the tastes of our citizens.”
