Yesterday, the City Council of Almeria approved in the Local Government Board the extension for one year of the concession contract for service of regulation of parking and stopping on public roads. This contract was also awarded in March 2011 by agreement also of The Local Government Board to the company “Dornier S.A.” It is the second of four extensions provided for in the contract for management of the so-called “blue zone” in the capital.
This extension will be transferred from the consistory and will last from October 2, 2022 until October 1, 2023. The City Council will receive 336,712.44 euro as a fixed canon for the concession. It will also increase with the CPI update.
The successful bidder will also pay an additional variable amount of 6% of the annual gross collected fees in accordance to the concession conditions.
The annual call for subsidy from the Security and Mobility Area Delegation for taxi professionals providing service with taxis that are adapted for people with reduced mobility has been approved. It amounts to 40,000 euros.
16 adaptable taxis
They explained that this amount is used to finance the higher costs of vehicles for those with limited mobility. “This measure will not only continue to help the Taxi sector in Almeria for another year, but it also affects the municipal commitment that Almeria is more accessible for all. A subsidy line will soon be completed with the one granted for expenses deduction of adapted vehicle”, they stated from the City Council. They highlighted that the taxi service in Almeria has grown from two to sixteen adapted vehicles in recent years.
Yesterday’s Agenda of the Governing Board included the approval of the contracting document for the supply, management, and maintenance of digital jobs. It has a budget of 245,130.27 euro.
This contract, which is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience plan, will enable the City Council provide 200 computers and support services to support a total of 244 jobs. Digital allows the City Council to meet its needs through teleworking. This provides the City Council of Almeria employees with the tools, safety, and support they need to perform their duties in a non-face to face manner.
The Local Government Board also granted two minor contracts to supply material for the Local Police. The company Meigo Innovation S.L. was awarded the first contract, which is intervention material for Local Police. For a sum of 13,213.20 Euros, the first intervention material for the Local Police was delivered to the company ‘Meigo Innovation S.L.’ The contract covers the supply of 34 helmets as well as 47 riot shields, along with protective covers. The second contract is for ammunition for target practice by the Local Police. It was awarded to the company “Borchers S.A.” for 6,999.92 Euros.
The average monthly supplier payment period was approved for May 2022. It ends in 16.49 days compared to the legal payment term, which is thirty days.
