Apple boss Tim Cook paid a rare visit to Germany – and attended the Munich Oktoberfest together with moderator Kai Pflaume. “It’s a pity that we’re sitting amiably together again. So happy to be back to Oktoberfest. Cheers!” Cook tweeted in a mixed Bavarian and English, along with a photo of himself with Plum and Apple Vice President Eddy Cue. (Translated, this means something like: “Nice that we’re sitting comfortably together again. So glad to be back at the Oktoberfest. Cheers!”)
Cook was a guest at the last Wiesn in 2019, but the folk festival has been canceled for the past two years due to the corona pandemic. Plum shared videos on Instagram of him guiding Cook and Cue around the festival grounds. “Meeting people like Tim Cook the CEO of @apple is not only super interesting but also very very inspiring. Thank you for the exciting exchange, it was a pleasure and an honor for me to meet you in Munich and to accompany you to the Oktoberfest. I’m looking forward to the next meeting,” wrote the moderator.
Before his detour to Munich, Cook, who runs one of the most valuable companies in the world, paid a visit to the capital Berlin. On Twitter he posted photos from the Apple store on Rosenthaler Strasse in Mitte, where he met with German app developers.
